About Marsha Huber

Picture
My life is dedicated to helping all accountants become happier. My desire is to see others - college students, faculty members, and accounting professionals  learn to develop a more resilient mindset.

I enjoy learning and have a few degrees to reflect that - BA, MBA, MAPP and Ph.D.. My most recent degree, a Masters in Positive Psychology (MAPP) from the University of Pennsylvania, has probably had the most influence on my current research. In 2014, I spent time at Harvard for a semester to study neuroscience and education with the Mind, Brain, and Education folks. I am pioneering a neuroaccounting study using the EEG to measure learning in the subconscious mind. Also, at Harvard, I was introduced to design thinking, which I love. I see it as a way to find solutions to stubborn, long-standing problems.

I regularly speak at conferences related to accounting and higher education. I have received several awards as an innovator in accounting education. In addition, I am a CPA with a specialty in the restaurant industry. I enjoy developing faculty to become more skilled teachers.

Contact me if you would like me to speak at your event or school. My teaching and resiliency mindset seminars have helped many to improve the quality their professional and personal lives.
